Summary/Objective: The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment within the organization. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot problems to determine root causes.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed.
- Calibrate machinery and perform adjustments to optimize performance and quality.
- Document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with machinery and equipment.
- Keep abreast of advancements in machine technology and maintenance best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
