The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing a wide range of accounting responsibilities including reconciliations, tracking, payables, financial reporting, as well as managing a Staff Accountant. This position will be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and activities. This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to resolve issues proactively as well as the capability to communicate with executives, vendors, and employees in a professional manner.

• Manage monthly, quarterly and year end close for assigned company P&Ls
• Journal entry and reconciliation preparation
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Manage payables process, including recurring payment summary and management approvals
• Manage and reconcile bank accounts/statements and restricted cash for non-profit
• Administer and post journal entries related to the company’s self-funded health insurance plan
• Review payroll and provide to Human Resources for processing
• Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for non-profit and for-profit entities
• Ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
• Manage 1099 process and filings
• Support external audits
• Coordinate alignment between accounting & FP&A reporting and entry postings
• Supervise direct Accounting Associates, manage their capacity and workload allocation, hold them accountable, and provide training and development
• Monitor internal controls
• In addition, all other duties as assigned.
