Position Summary:
Career Development Services seeks ERT
Marketing Assistants.
Essential Functions:
- Manage CDS social Media channels, utilizing
Hootsuite, scheduling posts throughout the semester.
- Develop email marketing materials for events and services including our
virtual and in person career fairs using design tools such as Canva Develop
reports in Excel for Hiring
- Outcomes and Handshake usage for each school.
- Create corresponding graphs and charts to present data effectively.
- Assist in the collection and compilation of data related to Class of 2024 hiring outcomes.
- Organize CDS participation in virtual events and initiatives to collect
hiring data through surveys.
- Develop customized and user-friendly reports that can be shared with each
school outlining student hiring results, salary data, employer participation,
Handshake usage, and
CDS event participation.
- Conduct market research to assess how peer schools are displaying employment
data on their websites. Explore the use and implementation of data visualization
tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Assist in maintenance of the Handshake database, approving employers, job
postings, and recruiting events, and performing periodic maintenance tasks to
ensure data is accurate and current.
- Conduct market research to analyze hiring trends with the goal of identifying
new opportunities for fellow students, particularly in the technology sector.
- Develop marketing materials and campaigns to engage new and returning
employers, particularly those hiring for 6-month engineering co-ops.
- Analyze data such as response rates and open rates to measure the success of
campaigns and make suggestions to improve impact.
- Develop a plan for recognizing our 2023 top employer partners virtually on
our website and through social media.
- Prepare various reports on employer activity, survey responses, and outcomes
in Excel, Access, and Google Sheets as needed.
- Assist with the management and updating of project plans through Microsoft
Project for major employer team initiatives.
- Assist with the management and implementation of employer in-person and
virtual recruiting events such as our career fairs, information sessions,
interview days, and other special events.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Working towards a MS in Computer Science,
Information Systems, Data Science or related field.
- At least one year of experience working in the IT field including data
management and/or programming.
- Microsoft Office including advanced Excel and Access.
- Basic knowledge of Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
- Preferred knowledge of Drupal, Handshake, and basic hardware/software
installation.
- Excellent communication skills, analytical skills and the ability to work
independently as well as in a team environment.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites
may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the
university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically
preparing the candidate for success in the position.
