The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position builds strong partnerships with managers, employees and across the HR function to deliver value-added service that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, and its culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Consults with District Directors, leadership teams, and employees to provide HR guidance where needed.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual team member coaching needs.
- Oversees, communicates, and drives the consistent implementation of the company's HR practices, systems, and personnel-related activities in multiple communities.
- Acts as a liaison for organizational wide human resource needs.
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Human Resources and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and company policies, procedures for multiple communities.
- Drives associate engagement.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Three plus years’ experience in Human Resources preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare or assisted living industry preferred.
- Excellent systems knowledge and use of MS Office Software, and HRIS Platforms/ATS systems.
- Outstanding business writing and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to coach employees and management through challenging situations that may be emotional.
- Proven ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, and legal regulations.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Detailed orientation and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively on multiple tasks daily duties and projects.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification preferred.
- Some travel required may be required
