New York Bus Sales, the largest authorized Blue Bird School Bus dealership in New York State currently has an immediate opening for a Full-time Human Resources Assistant & Safety Coordinator in our Main Office located in Chittenango, NY.
New York Bus Sales is a full-service dealership offering sales, service, parts and graphics. We provide safe, dependable buses for our customers and professional services to meet their needs.
New York Bus Sales has been in business in the Chittenango area for 40 years and has a total of 125 employees in it's 4 locations in Chittenango, Rochester, Ravena (Albany) and Middletown, NY.
The HR Assistant provides administrative support on a day to day basis to the HR Manager in a variety of human resource related areas such as Recruiting, Onboarding/Orientation, Payroll, Compliance, Employee Records, Benefits and Training. Position will also coordinate Safety Training & Compliance for the Company.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant for 5 years
- Ability to manage time sensitive tasks
- Knowledge of HR Laws/Regulations/Compliance
- Knowledge of Payroll
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills in all areas of Microsoft Office
- 2 year degree in HR or similar field preferred
- Experience with Paylocity-Recruiting, Onboarding, Payroll, Time & Labor and Employee Benefits a plus
- Experience in Safety training or record keeping
- OSHA Reporting experience
This is a full-time permanent position. Monday through Friday-Days.
