Team Security - Part-Time

• Primary focus on providing proactive and preventative security measures for New York Football Giants coaches, players, ownership, and staff
• Collaborate with law enforcement as well as security departments of the NFL, MetLife Stadium, and New York Giants training facility security contractors
• Assist with Game Day/Game Day Weekend security procedures
• Focus on details in the environment of a professional sporting event to ensure NFL rules and policies are being followed
• Ensure implementation of risk mitigation measures to guarantee the safety of ownership, players, coaches, and staff always
• Demonstrate sound independent thinking and problem-solving skills 
• Capability to remain professional and calm in stressful situations
• Employ working knowledge of de-escalation tactics as needed
• Maintain extreme confidentiality of sensitive information
• Develop trust among individual staff and athletes
• Conduct investigations as necessary and directed
• Work long hours, nights, weekends, holidays as directed
• Willingness to travel throughout the year            
• Account for and assist with the timely arrival of all players and coaches to home and away venues as well as departure and arrival points
• Responsible to account for entirety of travel party consisting of all team staff, ownership, players and coaches (130-200 persons) at airports, train stations, and hotels throughout the country and occasionally overseas.
• Liaise with police escorts and motorcade to ensure clarity of planned routes and understanding of local escort protocols
• Oversee and safeguard integrity of pre-game bag checking procedures in conjunction with local law enforcement K-9 units
• Ensure the safety and integrity of the team’s locker room
• Survey field level personnel and fan conduct
• Verify credentials of on-field individuals
• Understand and enforce NFL game day rules
• Conduct security advance duties for away games
• Escort players to designated locations at home and away venues through heavily occupied public spaces
• Facilitate and observe media interactions with coaches, players, ownership, and front office staff
• Assess evacuation routes for away game venues, including specific routes from various locations of staff, ownership, players, and coaches located throughout the stadiums
• Observe and protect the integrity of reserved workspaces at away and home game hotels
• Assist other departments with game day operations as needed

• Minimum of 10 years of law enforcement and/or high-level, highly visible security related experience
• Ability to professionally work both independently and in a dynamic team setting
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support multiple high-level positions
• Demonstrated knowledge of security services, law enforcement, investigations, security protocols, training, and reporting, security assessments, and safety preferred
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills
• Strong background and experience in crisis management   
• Thorough understanding of crowd control and management strategies                   
• Demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy                                             
• Working knowledge of executive protection measures
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for extensive periods of time  

Salary : $67,900 - $86,000
