New York Public Radio – home to award-winning audio programming like Radiolab, The New Yorker Radio Hour, Trump Inc., Caught, On the Media, Death Sex & Money, among many others, as well as leading classical music and public radio stations WQXR and WNYC and now the website Gothamist – is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Sales Assistant.
This is a multi-faceted role with responsibility for organizing and managing deliverables as well as providing administrative leadership and support. The position has regular interfaces with senior leadership, clients, production, operation, and administrative staff. This position reports to the Senior Director of National Sponsorship & Integrated Media Sponsorships with dotted line support of the National Sponsorship team.
Responsibilities:
- Support Account Executives on advertising campaigns across all platforms, including digital display and audio.
- Work closely with ad operations to ensure correct campaign implementation, and timely delivery and completion of campaigns while addressing any questions/issues that may arise.
- Assist in submitting proposals by creating media plans, presentations, and completing RFP templates for clients.
- Provide backup support to Account Executives.
- Plan and manage special projects and other activities as needed.
- Assist with National Sponsorship promotional events as needed.
- Cultivate and navigate relationships externally with clients as well as within the organization to complete effectively work assignments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in multi-platform digital media including websites, social media and podcasts
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively and interact with both colleagues and clients.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
- Proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Word required.
- Some familiarity with ad serving products & 3rd-party reporting platforms (including DFP, Sizmek, DCM, etc.), a plus
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between New York Public Radio and SAG-AFTRA.
