We are a small firm with an office in Grand Rapids, MI. We design for clients in many industries including retail, industrial, healthcare, and financial. Our diverse client base is anchored by a few businesses that are industry leaders in their markets and have partnered with our team for nearly 2 decades. What you will bring:
· Bachelor’s degree in architecture (required)
· 4 yrs of post college experience working at a firm that designs commercial projects in the $10M range
· An ability to become licensed at some point in the future could be helpful
· Advanced understanding of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Suite, and Procore
· A desire and capability to take ownership of the design and full construction document development for specific clients as assigned. We need someone that is comfortable in the dual role of Project Manager and Project Architect. You will be assigned to clients that will provide work regularly, annually.
· Able to build relationships with clients, drafting support, and consultants.
· A knowledge of code compliance, and an ability to research the code to respond to plan review comments from AHJ plan reviewers.
· Ability to create preliminary renderings and sketches for pre-construction presentations with clients.
· Willingness to travel to client locations and job sites occasionally. 4-6 times per year travel may require an overnight or long day due to regional travel over 3 hours from our office.
