As an Radiology Technologist at Newport Medical Center, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:
- Current BLS from AHA or ARC
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- NEW Grads are welcome!
About the Job:
- Create x-ray images of the human body using radiographic equipment assisting in the diagnosis of medical problems. Works under general supervision.
- Perform cleanliness and sanitary procedures as required by department or patient needs. Stock rooms as necessary. Analyzes patient’s body size, thickness, general physical condition, age and suspected pathology.
- Set, adjust and manipulate x-ray equipment into specified position and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
