What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemist I position at NexaCode?
Location: Skillman, NJ (3 days on-site, other 2 days are remote)
exp in the labs at school, internships, co-ops, externships, and/or professionally will work. will take someone pretty entry level and train. looking for 0-3 years of exp, we have 2 openings left
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Would be nice if the candidate had experience in lab-scale batching and formulation of baby care, skincare, and oral care products, Proficient with laboratory Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Plus to be Proficient with the use of basic lab instrumentation skills like Viscometer, pH Meter.
- Skilled in technical documentation including writing scientific reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and excellent verbal and written skills
- Preferably 6 mos to 1 year experience in a personal care products company formulating Emulsions and Cleansers and at minimum, the candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering.
- Open to entry level and will train
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment while being an individual contributor is required and experience managing multiple projects is required.
· Qualification:
- Chemistry or Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering degree
- Must have Lab experience….GMP, Raw material and Analytical testing, exp making batches, formulations is nice to have, experience and ability to use laboratory equipment
- Formulating cleansers/lotions
- Analytical and physico-chemical Instrumentation Techniques
- Strong experience in Report writing skills
- Ensure impurities are manageable. The raw materials.
- Not a lot of research. Not creating a new product. Will be making a lot of batches.
