POSITION SUMMARYThe Senior IT Support Specialist acts as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with IT project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed. The Senior IT Support Specialist an active thought partner and application visionary who shapes the technology demand among the business community. The Senior IT Support Specialist will report into an applications group in the Information Systems department.Key AccountabilitiesWorks with senior leaders to create and maintain an operating plan to achieve the strategic vision and operating platform that defines the people, processes, tools, and technologyPartners with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirementsAnalyzes, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specificationsPartners with business partners to conduct user acceptance testingDocuments user manuals to describe application installation and operating proceduresCoordinates the project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budgetOther duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAble to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirementsAbility to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimationsExcellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependenciesIntellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areasOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsAbility to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work productsAbility to partner with software engineers and quality analysts to identify course of resolutionsStrong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standardsIn depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)Understanding of modeling techniques, such as unified modeling language, etc.Ability to supervise and mentor other BasMinimum Required EducationBachelor's Degree - RequiredMinimum Required Work ExperienceMore than 3 years - Required
