What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Marketing - US Upper Extremities position at Nextremity Solutions, Inc.?
PURPOSE: Lead and direct upstream & downstream marketing, commercialization, and sales force integration for the US Upper Extremity segment.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for all aspects of upstream and downstream marketing of company products. This includes building and leading the overall marketing team and determining appropriate resource allocation. Responsible for overall segment and product marketing strategy on a domestic basis including identifying and building business cases for product development and/or acquisition of technologies to support and grow the segment. Also responsible for developing and implementing product specific commercialization and launch plans to support company sales objectives. This includes direct engagement with surgeons and sales force leadership and representatives.
Responsible for developing and guiding the strategic marketing plan for the company. He/She will also be responsible for working with all regions to support the ongoing business and prioritize key initiatives across the US.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Team with Product Development, Sales, Operations, Marketing Communications, Medical Training and Education, and other functions to drive marketing and commercialization of new technologies
· Lead assessment of any new needed capabilities/products through acquisition, licensing, or organic development
· Lead Marketing efforts to ensure a seamless interface between region and franchise to address issues and have a coherent prioritized portfolio
· Lead and build marketing team associated with supporting development programs.
· Responsible for supporting the development of user needs and product requirements
SKILL AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Direct experience and demonstrated success with the design, development and launch of new Medical (device/drug) products
· Strong strategic planning skills and experience in business development, and technology assessment
· Proven ability to attract, retain, and develop talent
· Excellent interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
· Undergraduate degree in related field. MBA degree preferred
· Ten (10) or more years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and General Management in the medical device industry
