Data Specialist / Production Assistant

Data Specialist / Production Assistant is a key member of the team responsible for producing print and online bank directories for a number of clients. The person who wins this position will work closely with the Directories Editor, Project Manager and the Office Manager in all aspects of directory production, including collecting and sorting data, performing data entry, conducting follow-up inquiries to complete data collection, performing fact and data checking to ensure accuracy, and working with online sources and listings where necessary. This is the perfect position for a friendly person who is able to focus on highly-detailed work.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Assist in the preparation of annual and semi-annual bank directories
• Collect, sort and organize forms
• Data entry
• Assist with mailings and other data collection activities
• Perform fact checking and data verification; proofread
• Update online directory listings
• Assist with directory fulfillment, as needed
• Serve as back-up for general office administration, including answering phones, as needed
• Participate in weekly company-wide virtual meeting
• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• A can-do, whatever-it-takes attitude
• Moderate to advanced knowledge of Excel
• Keyboarding proficiency
• Experience with data entry
• Attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm under occasional deadline pressure
• Understanding of standard written English (Proofreading is part of the job.)
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
• Office experience

Working Conditions:

• Work from home, convening in-person with colleagues at least one day per week.

Compensation:

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Company-sponsored health insurance and 401(k) available, along with paid vacation, sick time and holidays.
