Description
NICE CROWD, formerly ABFF Ventures, is a Los Angeles-based live events company that develops and produces properties in the arts, entertainment, lifestyle and wellness industries that showcase BIPOC culture and talent. The Company’s tentpole events is the American Black Film Festival, founded in 1997.

We are seeking an experienced and professionally savvy executive to generate new business in the form of sponsorship revenue across the Company’s multiple event properties. As Director of Corporate Sponsorship, the candidate will play a pivotal role in building partnerships with leading consumer brands and entertainment/media organizations that align with the Company’s core values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identifying and Cultivating New Sponsors: Proactively seek and secure new business in the form of corporate sponsorship.
  • Customized Proposals: Create compelling tailored sponsorship proposals that highlight the unique value proposition, benefits and ROI associated with each event.
  • Contract Negotiation and Activation Management: Negotiate with potential sponsors and manage the process through contract execution, ensuring that the Company meets all obligations under the agreement.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Maintain an organized system for tracking sales outreach, revenue acquisition and client contacts.
  • Client Management: Manage client relationships, ensuring their needs are met, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction through excellent service and problem resolution.
  • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with our marketing, event operation, social media and communications teams to align efforts and ensure that both brand goals and Company objectives are met.
  • Industry and Cultural Awareness: Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities in the entertainment, arts and lifestyle arenas.

Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Five to seven years of experience in sponsorship sales and brand partnerships, preferably in events, entertainment or media industry.
  • Strong Network: An established network of contacts within the sponsorships and brand marketing space, with the ability to leverage these relationships for new opportunities.
  • Results-Oriented: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sponsorship revenue targets and successfully executing brand collaboration projects.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute creative and effective sponsorship and brand partnership strategies that deliver on both sponsor and Company objectives.
  • Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and professional proposals .
  • Team Player: Collaborative and capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the events and entertainment industry, with a focus on trends, market demands and audience preferences related to both sponsorships and brand partnerships.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work irregular hours during peak event periods.
