What are the responsibilities and job description for the Load Panner /Truck Dispatcher position at Niche Logistics?
Niche Logistics is looking for a Load Planner/Truck Dispatcher to add to our growing team. We are looking for a professional with at least 2 years of experience dispatching drivers, sourcing trucks and negotiating rates with carriers. You must have previous experience working for a broker or trucking company. We are looking for a self-starter who can dispatch head hauls, source back hauls, develop carrier relations and be able to negotiate carrier prices.
Salary is negotiable based on experience and we also offer commission and bonuses. Below are the main responsibilities:
- Responsible for sourcing trucks to the assigned loads.
- Work to balance daily and weekly outbound loads to inbound trucks in assigned areas.
- Responsible for efficiently assigning loads to minimize driver dwell, deadhead and maximize truck and trailer utilization.
- Ensure on-time pickup performance.
- Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Coordinate with drivers, carrier drivers or carrier dispatcher
- Ensure carriers report en-route as required
- Ensure on-time freight delivery
- Problem solve driver and/or carrier issues
- Adhere to all FMCSA DOT safety regulations
