Nicolock , a Leading Manufacturer of Paving Stones, Retaining Walls, and other Concrete Products, has an immediate opening for a Professional Sales Manager.
The selected individual will be responsible for organizing, motivating and leading a team selling for the New England area and will be based in North Haven, CT. This position will work closely with Marketing and Executive Teams.
Summary:
Lead a sales team comprised of Territory Sales Representatives within the Company’s largest selling region. Responsible for setting and achieving annual revenue goals with a primary focus on new business development in the new England area. Consult with ownership on overall Company growth strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize, motivate and lead the sales team
- Setting budgets and sales targets
- Make calls on key customers with salesmen- Customers include wholesale distributors, contractors, and design professionals
- Be involved with product development, identification of new business opportunities and the development of marketing strategies
- Responsible for the Region’s forecasting and sales tracking
- Lead weekly sales meeting designed to support the Company’s sales strategy, focus team on weekly tasks, and optimize salesman efficiency
- Train sales staff on value and consultative selling techniques to ensure a proper foundation and future sales growth
- Provide hands on mentoring sessions for territory sales reps within their respective markets
- Provide resolutions to customer service related issues pertaining to product and/or installation
- Ensure products are displayed and well branded within Regional Dealer Network
- Develop the New England Market whereby prospective distributors are identified, called upon and closed
- Provide technical selling and consulting to: Dealers, Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Developers, and all Sales personnel
- Provide direct sales quotes to Commercial/Municipal opportunities
- Promote the brand through formal presentations, seminars, lunch & learns, and impromptu meetings with clients
- Liaise with Operations/Production Management regarding product QA/QC concerns and issues in an effort to improve overall product quality
- Consult with Director of Marketing regarding promotional concepts, POS material, and Proofing
- Streamline Regional Trade Show, Sales Events, and Seminars
- Projects as assigned
- KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Sales Management
- Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs
- Familiar with CRM systems is a plus
- Excellent analytic thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills required.
- Organizational and leadership ability
- Microsoft Products: Excel & Word
- Detailed oriented with the ability to follow directions within the corporate standards.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule on occasion.
- Hardscape or landscape industry sales experience preferred
- BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Salary is approximately $130K with an incentive package; along with comprehensive benefits are offered.
