About the opportunity
The Event Marketing Specialist is a creative go-getter who is responsible for leading Nigh’s exclusive “local drop” event marketing and operations. This includes connecting with businesses, creating a variety of video, photo, and other marketing materials, and getting to know our users. We are a small team wearing many hats, and we believe you will be the key to making our local drops exciting and memorable for local businesses and users.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, creative eye for high quality, and hustle are critical to success, along with a vibrant, outgoing, positive attitude. You will strive to continually surprise and delight Nigh users, local businesses, and sponsors, building memorable bonds and emotional connections to Nigh’s exclusive events and mission. You need to be really comfortable starring in marketing videos, producing social media content, and doing public relations related to the events.
Local drop events can happen at various times, including mornings, late nights, and weekends, so this role is for someone who is very flexible in their schedule. You are someone who is career-driven, adaptable, and collaborative. You are looking for an accelerated career development opportunity and welcome working hard in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead event marketing and event management for Nigh’s exclusive “local drop” events
- Act as a brand ambassador and lead activities to create brand awareness and connection
- Build strong relationships with users, local businesses, and partners
- Lead production of event promotional videos, photography, and social media
- Gather feedback and collaborate with product management and engineering to improve Nigh’s software and user experience
Requirements
- Very comfortable and adaptable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Management, or related field/experience
- 2 years proven success in event management, marketing/social/PR, or relevant experience
- Enjoy being in front of the camera, doing video production, and leading social media
- Confident, self-motivated, and well-organized with outstanding time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, positive outgoing personality, and high emotional intelligence
- Strong decision-making skills, customer-focused relationship skills, and sound judgment
- Strong desire to help and support local businesses and build the Nigh community
- Fluent in relevant technology (e.g. Excel, analytics, CRM, project/event management)

This role is in Boulder, Colorado (no remote)
