Ning Solutions Inc. is currently seeking PRN/ Registered Nurse to support the Department of Interior

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Medical Emergencies: An employee is given the attention required to prevent loss of life or limb or to relieve suffering until he/she can be transferred to a hospital;
• Treatment of minor injuries such as lacerations, contusions, fractures, burns, sprains, etc.;
• Treatment of other conditions such as headaches, vertigo, heat exhaustion, chest pain, back injuries, hemorrhage, stroke, animal bites, rashes, drug addiction, etc.;
• Treatment and/or removal of foreign bodies in the eyes or body;
• Administer vaccinations, allergen shots, and appropriate screenings.
• The RN shall be able to recognize symptoms of anaphylactic shock and shall initiate appropriate treatment;
• Prepares required reports such as daily logs, monthly morbidity, and occupational health reports, and semi-annual reports.
• Maintain and safeguard all medical health records.

Required Experience:

Registered Nurses are required for coverage of the Wellness Center whenever the Federal Nurse is absent
from the building. They must have no less than 1-year experience in occupational or ambulatory care
settings. Doctor’s office settings are acceptable if their duties promoted strong assessment and triage skills. It is not sufficient for the nurse to have worked in hospitals or long-term care facilities.

Registered Nurse candidates must show proof of current licensure (DC or any U.S. state) along with proof
of current CPR training (Health Professional BLS). If the staff nurse continues at DOI for several years,
she/he must provide updated proof of their current CPR certification to the federal nurse as required.
Registered Nurse candidates must also provide proof of having passed Bloodborne Pathogen training
within the previous year. After entrance on duty, DOI can provide access to Bloodborne Pathogen training for subsequent years.
