Job Description and Duties:
The AutoCAD and REVIT technician will augment our design team. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Create telecommunications BIM models
· Coordinate technical BIM development with Architectural and/or Engineer’s BIM manager
· Create and update BIM template(s), libraries, and families
· Work from rough sketch drawings to produce plan drawings
· Create new drawings from existing base models
· Assist in the production and review of drawing packages/deliverables
· Set up and maintain backgrounds, schedules, and details
· Support work of designers
· Organize and file drawings
· Follow company quality control guidelines
Qualified candidates must have prior experience with AutoCAD and REVIT. Experience with compiling design packages supporting architects is a plus. Additionally, candidates should:
· Be detail oriented
· Capable working independently and in team environments
· Be flexible as priorities shift
· Be comfortable working on multiple deadlines as once
Effort and Working Conditions: Substantial computer and telephone usage is expected as well as minimal client visits and fieldwork for this position. NIS will provide cellular phone and reimburse business mileage (the maximum allowed by Federal Tax Law) as well as all approved business-related expenses. Travel is required with occasional overnight stays. Travel is typically limited to western United States. NIS has a hybrid work environment and will provide home office outfitting for employees. Employees are expected to be available to clients and peers during business hours.
Compensation Package: Compensation is the base salary; additional bonuses are discretionary. Employee benefits include 11 paid holidays, personal time off (PTO) Starting at 15 days annually, medical and dental benefits are funded by NIS for the employee[1](eligible after a 60-day probationary period), and a 401k plan (eligible after one-year).
