Game Day Statistics Crew Member
NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.
The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking Game Day Statistics Crew Members to join Gotham FC’s Statistics Crew that will report to the Communications Manager. The successful candidate will have experience in reporting and recording soccer stats. They will have passion for women’s sports and/or soccer, ability to work non-traditional hours, and a deep knowledge of stats in soccer.
Key Responsibilities:
· Entering computer data.
· Preparing match starting lineups and with Opta Stats Perform.
· Recording live statistics as events happen during games.
· Preparing final and mid-game summary reports for coach staff and the media.
· Preparing final stats for league records.
· Serving as official scorekeeper for both teams.
· Keeping up to date on changes in statistical scoring rules.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in recording and maintaining stats during live games in soccer.
· Ability to work with computer programs and other technology.
· Ability to troubleshoot with Gotham FC communications staff and Opta Stats Perform.
Capability & Other Characteristics:
· Ability to work most Gotham FC home matches at Red Bull Arena in 2024, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Location:
Based at Gotham FC’s home stadium – Red Bull Arena, which is in Harrison, NJ. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events, as necessary. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Red Bull Arena.
