JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:

Manager of Behavioral Health Services.

REPORTS TO:

Director of Behavioral Health Services.

JOB PURPOSE:

Oversee the daily operation of the Mental Health Program (including (Health Care Foundation and Van Amerigen Foundation grants); SUD programs (including SAMHSA-MAT and OMH-ECI grants) and the Prison Discharge Planning Program.

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Provide day to day supervision of all project staff.
  • Serve as designee for the director of behavioral health.
  • Deliver client services as described in all grant awards.
  • Assist in recruiting and training of new staff.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required by funders.
  • Deliver client services as described in the current grant contracts.
  • Document all services in accordance with the dictates of individual funding contracts.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the director of behavioral health services in accordance with the dictates of individual funding contracts.
  • Prepare for and oversee site visits by DMHAS, Medicaid and other funders.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities including: administering and collecting client satisfaction surveys and outcomes-based internal evaluations for the director.
  • Conduct regular chart audits.
  • Assist the director of behavioral health services in evaluation and improvement of program services.
  • Provide input to the director behavioral health services regarding program service planning and development.
  • Interact with other service providers to enhance coordination of services and referrals to the program.
  • Participate in grant writing and policy development and review.
  • Participate in governmental, professional and community committees, task forces, as assigned by the director of behavioral health services.
  • Provide input to the director of behavioral health services regarding forecast levels of services for future contracts.
  • Foster and preserve a strong team spirit among program staff and volunteers.
  • Enhance one’s professional abilities via continuing education.
  • Perform other duties as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in social work or related field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • A certification or license in alcohol and drug counseling (CADC) or (LCADC)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in HIV care, treatment and prevention.
  • Excellent computer skill.
  • Ability to conduct presentations.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Must pass the Department of Corrections and other background checks.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
