What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter position at Nomad Labs?
We’re looking for a Recruiter who has experience scaling teams in high-growth startups. As our first recruiting team hire, you will help us recruit a world-class team and help build out Nomad's recruiting function. We really do mean “world-class” as it will take an extraordinary team to fully realize our vision to unlock economic opportunity for everyone in the long-term rental community.
In this role, you’ll:
- Build the foundation of an exceptional recruiting function and take our hiring efforts to the next level
- Source and engage across roles delivering high touch, credible and personalized hiring experiences that demonstrate deep knowledge of our business and the requirements of the role
- Coach and develop our team’s’ recruiting capabilities from crafting compelling job descriptions, to building out our employment brand, to creative recruiting campaigns that differentiate Nomad in a competitive talent environment
- Enthusiastically tell the Nomad story to candidates and thoughtfully assess their expertise to ensure the best people are matched with the right roles
- Bring DEI & B to the forefront of the work you do by valuing the differences unique individuals possess and finding ways to bring them onto our team
- Ensure effective communication is in place to maintain momentum
- Ensure we have the right tools in place
- Navigate diverse conversations from those opening doors to graceful turndowns to build long-term relationships and a sustainable pipeline of candidates
- Track, analyze and present recruiting data and results to illuminate successes and opportunities, focus our efforts and improve our outcomes
We’re looking for people who bring the following:
Education & Roles: 5 years of full-cycle recruiting and high-growth startup experience preferred
Teams & Environments: Experience working on lean and scrappy teams, you’ll be our first people team member and have the chance to build the foundation of the recruiting function and roll up your sleeves doing recruiting as we build
Tool & Technologies:
- Experience with Greenhouse preferred
Skills & Capabilities:
- Experience tracking metrics, productivity and outcomes and developing tools and resources to enhance processes and outcomes
- Experience creating sustainable programs that support recruiting and retaining a diverse and representative team
- Ability to support and execute strategic talent programs (e.g. talent brand, structured interview design) as well as create outreach and sourcing campaigns that yield tangible results
- Ability to build a comprehensive cultivation approach for high potential candidates ensuring our process and activities align so that we successfully close

Total compensation for this role is market driven, including a base salary range of $70,000-110,000 (based on qualifications).
