Your Day in the Life
- Acts as the primary point of contact for operations leadership for all people related matters.
- Partners with operations leadership to build a strong bench of talent, including leading succession planning and talent management processes.
- Supervise and coaches HR Coordinator to assist with administrative needs of regional HR.
- Champions the development program, providing guidance and insight while ensuring successful and effective use of the tools.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition and operations leaders to ensure restaurants are staffed at all levels.
- Effectively manages team member relations by coaching leaders through investigations and assisting in the resolution of more complex situations.
- Tracks and provides team member relations data/metrics in order to analyze, identify opportunities, and continually improve our restaurant environments.
- Manages projects and creates process to help field teams retain talent including talent review and development, merit and compensation calibration, and local, state and federal compliance needs.
- Instills a culture of accountability by building leaders' skills with effective performance management processes.
- Educates restaurant leadership and ensures compliance with all employment laws.
- Stays current with labor law requirements and changes for states supported including child labor laws, meal and rest break laws, final pay laws, etc.
- Leverages HR metrics to ensure data-driven decision making.
- Manages exit interview process and conducts interviews at a management level.
- Practices an Ops First culture, using the lens of an operator in all actions and makes sure our mission and values are reflected in our actions.
- Contributes to enhancing, creating and implementing HR programs and practices.
What You Bring to the Team
- Ability to objectively coach team members and navigate complex, difficult issues.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations in multiple states.
- Excellent analytical abilities and well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex concepts both verbally and in writing.
- Strong relationship-building skills required to productively interact across all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage a diverse workload and changing priorities; exceptional decision-making, project management, planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Minimal travel required, up to 20%
- Bachelor’s degree in business or in human resources management preferred, but not required
- Minimum 3 years of human resources experience
- Experience working in multi-unit retail or restaurant environment preferred
