Norax Supplements' Quality Manager will lead the Quality team and provide services and support to Quality, R&D, Production, Sales, and Purchasing Departments to ensure the quality and integrity of ingredients purchased and products manufactured. The Quality Manager will report to the Operations Director. The position is Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay) and manages one or more direct reports.
Some of the Essential Duties:
Responsibilities include complete oversight of Norax QMS, including maintaining/updating SOPs, releasing/holding products, oversight of all QA/QC personnel and activities, and cGMP enforcement and training.
QA/QC Support
- Maintain/Update QMS
- Vendor Qualification
- Provide Certificates of Analysis on Finished Product
- Perform Blend Uniformity Studies
- Recommend Batch Corrections
- Request laboratory analysis for product release
- Write Deviations for Batch Correction
- Track, Trend, & Report Quality Metrics
- Root Cause Analysis
- Support Sales Inquiries about Products/Ingredients
- Train and Direct Activities of Quality Personnel
- cGMP Training
- Support All QA/QC Initiatives
- Others as Required
Research & Development Support
- Assist with Formulations
- Assist with MMR/BPR Creation
- Request Stability Testing
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five (5) years experience, including at least Two (2) years experience as a Manager or Director of Quality or R&D in a Pharmaceutical, Dietary Supplement, or Food Manufacturing or Packaging Facility.
- BS Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline from an accredited college/university.
- Or, any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to enable collaboration with team members.
- Ability to speak on a one-to-one basis using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information, explain policies, and procedures, and persuade others to accept or adopt a specific opinion or action.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, using English.
- Business travel may be required.
- Bilingual language skills (Spanish) will be a plus.

The Quality Manager's starting pay will be competitive and commensurate with the chosen candidate’s qualifications and experience. The target starting pay is $85,000 to $100,000. This is an Exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay.
