Nordson Industrial Coating Systems (ICS) designs equipment our global customers rely on for the precise application and curing of liquid paint, powder finishes, container barrier coatings and ambient temperature adhesives and sealants. Production lines work smarter with custom engineered robotic solutions from Nordson Industrial Coating Systems. The Electrical Engineer will support the Sustaining Engineering Team in electrical component evaluations and selections, schematic captures, printed circuit board layouts, and release of custom products within the Industrial Coating Systems division. The Electrical Engineer will be required to effectively manage and communicate on deliverables, timelines, and results. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Leads and manages the execution of small projects centered on product design, product enhancements, and supply chain initiatives. Leads and performs product maintenance and engineering changes in support of quality, manufacturing and design improvements, and supply chain changes. Develops and supports components or sub-systems for new and existing products while working as a team member. Performs calculations and analysis required for electronic designs at the component, circuit board, and sub-system level. Calculations include, component de-rating, power usage, Pulse Width Modulated control, frequency response, system stability phase and gain margins, and Proportional Integral Derivative tuning. Work in a lab environment to support build and test designs for performance verification. This includes compiling and presenting test data to support the Sustaining Engineering team. Troubleshoot electrical circuits and systems to the component level. Education and Experience Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Experience: 3-5 years of related engineering or internship/co-op experience Skills and Abilities Experience with industrial electrical components and electronics Ability to apply sound electrical engineering principles and practices in the design and verification of solutions Experience with electronic circuit schematic capture, circuit simulation (Spice), and PCB layout software. Familiarity with Altium PCB layout software would be a plus Detail-oriented with strong analytical electrical engineering skills Must be self-motivated and possess a strong desire to grow and contribute Excellent organizational and communication skills Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Product Compliance, Certifications and Regulations (REACH, RoHS, WEEE) knowledge preferred. Experience with SAP or an ERP System preferred. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Office environment.
