Departmental Overview

Decision Support provides a wide array of services to the leadership at NRHS.  We provide statistical, clinical decision-making, and financial reporting.  Our role is to aid others in the daily business of providing life-saving care.  Our team is made up of CPAs, MBAs, and IEs.  Our day-to-day challenges are in the exploration and interrogation of data.  The team builds the annual operating budget, works with Finance to complete month-end close, manages productivity, cost accounting, benchmarking, and a data warehouse.  We build the long-term financial forecast.  Members of our team are able to see a wide swath of the healthcare business.


Job Summary

The System Analyst (Lead) position has two primary components.  First and foremost, we are a guide to leadership in "telling the story" of volumes of data.  We aid leaders throughout NRHS in gaining insights into patient care as well as the financials of NRHS. This particular position has the additional responsibility for maintaining the Visual Analytics package and providing data support for Cost Accounting.  Communication within the team and with leadership is critical.


Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a data-centric discipline; Industrial Engineering or Management Information Systems preferred. Successful candidates will have healthcare experience.  Skills in SAS, SQL Server, and Axiom are required. Skills in higher-level Excel functionality will be regarded favorably.
