JOB OBJECTIVE
The Industrial General Foreman will manage multiple crews that will install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures. They will work on underground cable and conduit installation, terminating, and equipment installation for all phases of new construction.
REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE
- Must have 6 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician
- Must have 3 years in a supervisory role
- National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
- TDLR Journeyman
- Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must pass drug and background check.
KNOWLEDGE
- Examines project schedule(s) and coordinates project work activities through craft supervisor.
- Monitors work activities and advise supervisor and/ or employees regarding labor methods and required equipment and material to complete project tasks.
- Conducts regular meetings with the project(s) supervisor, coordinating future job activities to assure continued productivity.
- Serves to advice supervisor and employees of safety hazards, assists in all supervision, and maintains a safe work environment.
- Coordinates with the superintendent, project management, engineers, QC inspectors, etc. to assist in developing solutions to various project problems.
- Maintains progress and cost data to assist project management in analyzing work efficiency.
- Conducts regular safety meetings with supervisor and employees addressing work areas and conditions requiring attention and stressing compliance to company and regulatory safety procedures.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or Equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to adhere to substantial amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.- Will talk and hear to communicate.
- Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
- May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
- Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/ scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
