What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sound Technician position at North Branch Reformed Church?
The Sound Technician position is a part time position working Sunday AM services running sound and livestream, and special services such as Christmas Eve, Concerts and other performances, rehearsals and services.
The Sound Technician works under the direction of the Director of Music and Worship Arts (DMWA), and in collaboration with the Sound Team Leader (STL) to provide the best possible musical sound and clear spoken word for the glory of God in our live /livestreamed Sunday morning worship services and other various events including special services, concerts, productions and/or rehearsals.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
1 Background and training in sound and music production.
2. Ability and experience in running a sound board and livestream,
3. Able to work in a team setting collaboratively and follow directions.
4 High attention to detail
5. Good communication skills
6. Ability to think quickly and react appropriately in live performance settings.
7. Willing to attend training sessions and read/watch other training material for improving existing skills.
8. Punctuality and dependability.
9. A musical ear / musical training within the realm of sound production.
9. A heart for worship and a positive attitude.
