GENERAL DEFINITION: Claims Assistants work in an office setting, performing administrative duties and maintenance of claims files. They assist managers, examiners and adjusters in daily operation of the office.
SPECIAL TRAINING, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
College degree or comparable business experience is preferred. Proficiency with computer operation and software, including Microsoft Windows and Office. Ability to conduct business in appropriate manner with clients by phone, email, and in person. Dependable, responsible person able to work independently and work well within a team. Organization, accuracy and patience required.
