North Coast Eye Care is a progressive optometry practice specializing in medical eye conditions.
We are looking for an experienced Patient Coordinator to run our front desk. Qualified applicants must be a patient-care focused, positive, upbeat, compassionate person able to multitask in a team building environment. If you consider yourself a fast learner, detail oriented, tech savvy with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and a "can do" attitude then we would like to meet you. This is a very fast paced environment and requiring you to be able to switch gears quickly. We also welcome cross training, so an interest in Optometry is ideal.
POSITION: Front Desk Patient Coordinator
Basic Duties:
Answer a multi-line phone system
Manage the patient communication software and emails
Scheduling patient appointments
Navigate and utilize more than one computer software program simultaneously
Greet patients and answer phones promptly
Obtain patient insurance information and guide patients through intake forms at check in
Answer basic insurance questions and explain benefits to the patient
Maintain confidentially of patient records and comply with practice policies in accordance with HIPAA
Collect and post co-pays and co-insurance payments
Scan and fax documents in a timely manor
Establish and maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with all staff
Perform other duties as assigned my the Office Manager
Cross train in all other areas of the practice for coverage as needed
