Summary of Work

Work involves providing case management services for juvenile offenders under the jurisdiction of the Division of Juvenile Services. Additional case management of young adults up to 24 years old.

Minimum Qualifications

Juvenile Corrections Specialists requires a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, sociology, criminal justice, juvenile justice, or other closely related field and two years of work experience providing for the treatment and rehabilitation needs of delinquent adolescents. A master's degree in one of the above fields may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement. Salary for a Specialist starts at $4,971 a month. Preference will be given to applicants with juvenile case management experience.

If unable to find a qualified applicant the hiring manager will consider underfilling this opening as a Juvenile Corrections Technician. Minimum qualifications for the Juvenile Corrections Technician are: Requires a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, sociology, criminal justice, juvenile justice, or other closely related field.

State fleet vehicles are available for work related travel.
