What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Desk Receptionist position at North Dallas ENT?
We are looking to add a rockstar Front Desk person to our practice!
We are a very busy ENT office located in the Dallas area is looking for someone who is punctual and very detailed oriented. Someone who can multi-task and has experience with check-in and check-out duties.
It is helpful for you to knows the difference between CPT and ICD-10, have experience in posting charges and collecting money. You will understand how to verify insurance, understand benefits, multiply and divide numbers. We will help train you to work up a surgery quote and be able to discuss it with the patients for their patient responsibility portions of surgery. We are a professional office and you'll help demonstrate this through professional behavior and communications with patients and co-workers.
Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Job Description
- Check Patients-in, sign documents, scan insurance card, go over any paperwork needed
- Ensure patients that are not using insurance have paid their cash portion fees prior to being seen by the provider
- Enter/ edit patient demographics and insurance information
- Retrieve answering service report and process the calls.
- Prepare all superbills for clinic
- Verify insurance info in computer- utilize online or fax response
- Process referrals - utilize online
- Contact patients to remind and confirm them of their appointment
- Schedule any follow up appointments need during check-out process
- At check out: Collect and post all co-pays, coinsurance/ deductibles, surgery prepayments and patient balances. Must be posted same day
- Post all charges for appointment visits that day
- Scan and attach all documents by the end of the day.
- Calculate Allergy quotes and surgery Prepayment and discuss with patient either in room or at check out.
- Prepare charts for the upcoming days to ensure all documents needed are available to ease the patient check-in process
- Process fax communications appropriately
- Manage the schedule for selected providers and work the cancelation list to ensure proper scheduling
- Process and post payments from the day
- Maintain $200.00 in cashbox and appropriate reporting
- Assist call center as needed
