Basic Function: The Promotions Manager researches, strategizes, conceptualizes, proposes, and coordinates the design of promotional projects for Business and Workforce Solutions and DiscoverU; utilizing mediums such as, but not limited to, digital ads and signage, brochures, fliers, publications/magazines, email communications, and websites. Work may include coordination with vendors, department- or campus- level stakeholders.
Salary & Benefits: Salary of $46,500 - $56,000 based on experience. Benefits package includes Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance; eye care, dental, life and disability insurance; paid vacation and sick leave; a choice of IPERS or TIAA retirement plans; and a variety of additional optional benefits.
Qualifications
Required: Associate's degree in marketing or related field, and at least four years' experience in marketing or related field. Demonstrates a high degree of creativity and quality of work. Strong background in areas such as public relations, promotions, publication design, ad layout, business communications, and campaign planning. Working knowledge of digital advertising design and specifications. Ability to develop strategies and tactics based on department goals. Coordinate and execute campaigns that meet brand expectations and guidelines. Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals and strategies. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organization. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience. Four years' experience in marketing, or related field. Experience in public relations and promotions, writing, and asset creation.
Responsibilities:
Working as part of a strong creative team responsible for executing traditional and digital branding, marketing, and other promotional campaigns.
Developing traditional, digital, and multimedia marketing campaigns, publicity efforts, email and social media campaigns.
Monitoring and analyzing results of executed campaign tactics, implementing processes that increase the efficiency and impact of campaigns as needed.
Collaborating with areas throughout the Continuing Education department to provide creative solutions that engage multiple audiences.
Upholding brand integrity in all projects.
Supervising and monitoring part-time freelance staffing needs for Continuing Education.
Researching, recommending, and implementing current, new, and emerging marketing techniques, technologies, best practices, and industry standards.
Coordinating with vendors and stakeholders.
Scheduling and coordinating photo and video shoots.
Completing projects with minimum supervision and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
