The advertising assistant provides administrative and marketing support to advertising professionals and executives. The position is excellent for anyone interested in advertising and marketing and for those with a desire to provide stellar administrative support. The role of advertising assistant is considered entry level, but there are many advancement opportunities available.
- Advertising assistants provide administrative support to sales reps. This can involve answering phones, sending emails, scheduling ads, and setting up appointments with potential clients.
- Provide high level administrative assistance to the advertising management team
- Many advertising campaigns require print and digital graphic design work. The advertising assistant will coordinate with the design team to have these materials created and scheduled properly.
- Maintain schedules of publications and advertising rates for various products.
- Provide clerical support for contracts, rate requests, and credits.
- Assist walk-in customers with general questions and advertising requests.
- Maintain records on new and current advertisers
- Assist with generating advertising reports and lead lists
- Schedule digital advertising campaigns with third-party service providers
