Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies and patients. Your expertise in medical coding systems and knowledge of medical office procedures will contribute to the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.

Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic information, insurance details, and medical records
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10) to diagnoses, procedures, and services
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resubmitting as necessary
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and obtain claim status updates
- Generate patient statements and answer inquiries regarding billing discrepancies or payment options
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate documentation for coding purposes
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding systems and billing regulations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Medical Billing preferred
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
- Proficient in medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems, and medical office procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, including claim submission and reimbursement
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and billing software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures
- Strong communication skills to interact with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.53 - $38.75 per hour
