North Wind Site Services is focused on providing engineering, program management, environmental remediation services including investigation and characterization, environmental restoration, unexploded ordnance/military munitions response (MMRP), regulatory public involvement services, environmental compliance, logistics, and records and facility management.

This position supports a healthy work-life balance with a 10-hour day, 4-day per week schedule, allowing for long weekends to explore Northern New Mexico and the surrounding area. The job is local to the Los Alamos and Santa Fe area. Los Alamos consistently ranks as one of Livability.com’s Best Small Towns in America. The city is a top spot for outdoor enthusiasts as it has more than 120 hiking and biking trails, and residents enjoy easy access to the Pajarito Mountain Ski Area. Responsibilities:
- Support senior project managers with routine analysis and reporting tasks.
- Monitor financial performance indicators to complete projects on schedule and budget
- Know and understand the details of assigned contracts, proposals, and plans
- Help write and review project management plans and technical reports
- Develop purchase orders, scopes of work and other details for subcontracts and supplies
- Help maintain resource loaded schedules and associated performance metrics
- Work with Field Team Leads and Subject Matter Experts to identify and resolve issues
- Help prepare project budgets, financial updates, metrics, and reports
- Be aware of client and company specific safety rules and identify potential issues
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a geosciences, environmental science, engineering, or project management
- 4 year’s project management experience, including experience with environmental site characterization and remediation
Knowledge and Skills:
- Technical knowledge of environmental site characterization and remediation techniques
- Knowledge of project management principles and techniques including scheduling, budgeting, earned value management, and change control
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent office software skills (excel, word, etc.)
Special Requirements: Must have REAL ID ACT compliant documentation at time of hire and nothing on record that would prohibit access to Department of Energy sites. Must pass pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug screen.
