We are an established and growing organization with locations in eight states, specializing in providing therapy services to individuals and families via Telehealth, in-person, or in-home.
The Bilingual Intake Coordinator manages all aspects of the registration and admissions process for Northeast Family Services for all of our Illinois locations. They are responsible for answering incoming calls, gathering referral information, verifying insurance coverage, and scheduling clients’ appointments.
To be successful in the Intake Coordinator position, you need to be highly organized, detail oriented, and have a working knowledge of payer portals, co-pays, deductibles, and health insurance benefits. Top candidates will also have excellent interpersonal skills and work well as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes therapists, clinicians, nurse practitioners and peers. This position may be open to a hybrid/remote schedule but candidates must be located in IL. Bilingual in English / Spanish is required for this role
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in patient intake and scheduling
- Bilingual English / Spanish required
- Working knowledge of insurance benefits and authorizations
- Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Experience working with and helping clients with co-occurring disorders
- Must be local to IL
- Ability to keep client and company confidences
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong time management and organizational skills
