NET Centers’ Community Outreach and Engagement Program is connecting with people in need of resources throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region! COEP Outreach Specialist Teams will work directly in the community to meet people where they are; engage with them to understand how they can be connected to necessary resources such as housing, healthcare and/or mental health and addiction recovery treatment; and directly connect them with those resources.
We are seeking up to 25 full time and part time Outreach Specialists! Multiple shifts, 7 days a week available!
As an Outreach Specialist, you will work collaboratively with a partner team member and dispatch together to a pre-determined region within the five-county area. Together, your team will:
Engage individuals in meaningful discussions focused on their immediate needs, harm reduction and self-advocacy.
Conduct needs assessments for those willing to participate; obtaining consents as needed.
Coordinate direct referrals to needed resources.
Assist and/or complete warm hand off with receiving service or provider.
Complete documentation summarizing your efforts and outcomes.
Engage law enforcement and emergency services as needed, and when appropriate.
A commitment to those experiencing homelessness, mental health and substance use disorder through lived experience is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of Philadelphia and surrounding county resources which support treatment services, food and housing insecurities, and healthcare is required.
Ability to safely and appropriately use a handheld device to access resources and complete documentation.
High School Diploma
Valid drivers license preferred
This is a community-based program and position which requires traveling to multiple regions throughout the five-county region. Outreach Specialist may be outside for extended periods of time.

NET Centers (NET) offers support and hope to individuals and families at times of great stress in their lives.
