Northern Energy Services – Grader and Dozer Operators

General Description

NES is looking for seasonal Grader and Dozer Operators on the North Slope of Alaska working in Kuparuk and Western North Slope.

Operators will be responsible for operating graders, dozers, snow blowers and loaders from late February through the end of April. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Operators must have knowledge of and experience with building gravel roads or ice roads.

This position is on the North Slope of Alaska which is an Arctic Environment. The work period is 6 to 8 weeks with the potential for rotational positions after.

Essential Duties and Job Requirements

· Operate equipment building gravel or ice roads.

· Perform other duties as required

· Comply with company and customer policies and procedures.

· Monitor equipment operation and identify malfunctions.

· Report all incidents involving injuries, spills, equipment malfunction or damage to the supervisor.

· Support zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

Minimum Experience

· High School Diploma or GED

· One year of trucking or operating experience including

· Arctic oilfield experience is preferred.

· Experience with side dumps and end dumps is preferred.

Job Requirements

· Class A CDL

· North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification

· Current DOT Medical Card

· Complete or maintain Red Book Transporter Training

Expected hours: 84 – 98 per week
