Job Title: Production Supervisor

Reports to: Plant Manger

FLSA Status: Exempt (Salaried), ineligible for Overtime Pay

Job Summary:

Seasonal or year-round position in the company’s labor pool accountable for organizing and supervising food production employees on a daily basis. Also, serves a key day-to-day leader ensuring proper food safety procedures and smooth operation of line.

Essential Functions:

• Supervises and plays a key role with set up of production lines prior to start of each day and ensures department is ready.
• Tracks and monitors employee disciplinary action and addresses issues in a timely manner.
• Monitors and records attendance on a daily basis.
• Monitors production and food safety throughout the day performing and/or monitoring quality checks and standards as designated per company and USDA policies/regulations.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of HACCP regulations and all production procedures, equipment.
• To uphold company mission statement towards supplying safe, high quality turkey products.
• Assures production lot changes are handled in compliance to company policy.
• Monitors/assists with housekeeping procedures.
• Monitors/assists with new employee training.
• Conducts performance evaluations for line employees.
• Works with other management personnel and USDA to assure overall plant operations are handled in compliance to guidelines.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Basic (8th Grade) reading and math skills.
• Requires prior knowledge of production line operations and equipment.
• Strong communication skills
• Leadership skills, Leadership Aptitude, Leadership mindset.
• Manual dexterity required.
• Willingness to use company designated personal protective equipment and follow company animal welfare guidelines.
• English-Language (Written & Verbal) Proficiency

Strongly Preferred Language Skills

• Spanish-Language (Written & Verbal) Proficiency
• 2 or more years of formal people leadership/supervisory Experience

Pay: From $1,115.38 per week
