Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Material Planning Control 2 for our location in Mesa, AZ.
Position Summary: Plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. Will use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. Will manage schedules and personnel for timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assign and manage staff as needed to maximize efficiency and achieve on time delivery
- Manage a team to perform required ERP transactions and material movement to of product flow to technicians
- Ensures team members receive the required assigned training
- In conjunction with the Assembly/Test Manager, prepares the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives and schedule performance
- Support ISO/BSI, LEAN, Continuous Improvement, and Quality initiatives
- Providing direction and coaching to managed planners
- Coordination with other operational functions to successfully resolve material challenges and provide concise communication to customers and senior leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
- This position emphasizes skills and requires a minimum of 12 years of work experience in Material Planning/Production Control. Would consider someone with 8 years of experience a BS or 6 years and MS.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing Production Control staff
- Ability to manage a budgeted cost center
- Skilled at resolving disputes and negotiating with positive outcome
- Builder of great relationships with internal and external customers
- Strong formal and informal communication skills with all levels of internal and external management; a skilled listener
- Demonstrate consistent decision making and exercise appropriate judgment that balances customer and company requirements
- Ability to manage risk to reduce likelihood and severity of program impacts
- Must have advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Power user of ERP systems, preferably CostPoint
- Must be able to obtain clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Explosives as an Employee Possessor.
- Candidates hired into this role will also need to complete a Gun Control Act Self Certification form.
- This position is covered under the Safe Explosive Act which requires any employee possessor/responsible person to complete an Employee Possessor Questionnaire for Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms (ATF)

Salary : $93,100 - $139,700
