We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff System Engineer based out of San Jose, CA.
What you'll get to do:
As a Systems Engineer on this team, you will support a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for the ground segment of a satellite system. In addition:

Support architecture design that stems from these system requirements, decomposed across multiple levels, aimed to represent the ground capabilities, that have a major impact on the mission.

Interact with the customer, subcontractors, Software, Hardware, Operations, Integration and Test, higher level systems engineering and integration teams, as well as program and project leadership to define and maintain the technical baseline.

Help drive the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission, ensuring everything is synchronized.
Basic Qualifications:
-
14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math); 12 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 9 years of relevant experience with a PhD

Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access or active SCI access

Proposal/Conops/Architecture Design
-
Requirements Dev: IBM Rationale Tools (DOORS/Clearquest) experience, ability to write/review requirements to define capabilities across subsystems

Software/Hardware Experience: particularly in support of interface definition and capability development/integration
-
Integration & Test Experience: particularly in support of Test Plan reviews, tool/script validation, dry runs, formal tests, etc.

Verification & Validation Experience: particularly in support of formal verification events (Run for Record), engineering summary development and customer sell-off
-
Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence), MS Office Suite
-
Experience with mathematical algorithm development, extensive Matlab/Simulink exposure, HW/SW component interfacing and modeling/simulation
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agile development as a product owner

Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers

Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database

Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts

Excellent technical writing and team building skills

Deep technical knowledge in a particular area where your skills can be leveraged
Salary Range: $161,000.00 - $241,400.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
