Staff Nurse, GI Lab - (87675)
Position Highlights:
- Position: Staff Nurse- GI Lab
- Location: Evanston Hospital
- Full Time/Part Time: Full time (40 hrs/wk)
- Hours: Days with various start times. Schedule includes rotating hours and weekends. On-call requirements.
- Required Travel: Travel to other sites as needed
What you will need:
- License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
- Certification: BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required
- Experience: Prior Critical Care/Emergency Department and conscious sedation experience highly preferred. Medical Surgical with telemetry monitoring experience preferred
- Skills: N/A
What you will do:
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients in the GI Lab
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Prepare patients for procedures and monitor their condition periodically
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Daily quality rounds on medications and supplies and other equipment as applicable
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
