Injection Molding Process Technician

JOB SUMMARY:
The Junior Process Technician is responsible for setting up and operating machines and equipment to meet production schedules efficiently and safely. They also handle preventive maintenance and support manufacturing activities to ensure quality output.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Setup and operate various material handling, molding, finishing, and assembly equipment.
• Perform mold changes, machine adjustments, and startup/shutdown procedures.
• Use forklift for mold changes and organization, as well as moving molds.
• Maintain machine running conditions and conduct minor repairs.
• Operate high-volume molding machines and monitor production quantities.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting production efficiency and quality.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Inspect machines regularly to prevent production of defective parts.
• Accurately report shift performances and communicate with team members.

ABILITY TO/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow departmental safety rules and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Familiarity with ISO standards related to the position.
• Experience in plastics processing and machine maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 30/50 pounds and perform basic data entry.
• Pass background check, drug screen, work physical, and lift test.
• High school graduate or equivalent with proficiency in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting/carrying up to 30/50 pounds.
• Use of vision, hearing, and speaking.
• Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to seasonal temperatures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
