Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Motivated, energetic, courteous, and service-oriented Tennis Professional to work closely with the Director of Tennis and other Staff Professionals; teach group clinics, private lessons, team practices, and camps for both adult and junior academy programs; comfortable leading clinics and lessons of all ages and levels; instructs adults and juniors on proper techniques, tactics and strategies to improve overall tennis game.

Requirements
Job Tasks/Duties
- Assist with all tennis activity programs, including organizing, promoting, and encouraging participation in all tennis activities
- Teach group clinics, private lessons, team practices and camps for adult and junior academy programs (all ages groups and levels)
- Assist in the preparation and execution of all tennis events (ladders, mixers, camps)
- Remain highly organized with both lesson book and online court scheduling
- Promote tennis memberships to all potential prospects/non-members
- Observe any court and facilities maintenance needs, and assist in the general upkeep of tennis courts and area, ensuring a professional, clean, and safe environment for all who use the tennis facility
- Be prepared and knowledgeable of all facets of the tennis operations and capable of opening, operating, or closing the tennis facility as needed
- Restring and regrip rackets (willingness to learn and perform tasks
- 20-25 hours per week of scheduled program hours plus strong demand for private lessons
Licenses and Special Requirements
- United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and/or Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Certification preferred but not required; NTRP rating of 4.5 or higher, background as a tennis instructor or recent experience on a varsity college tennis team acceptable
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
- 1-3 years of experience teaching tennis
- United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and/or Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Certification preferred but not required; NTRP rating of 4.5 or higher, background as a tennis instructor or recent experience on a varsity college tennis team acceptable
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position
- Position requires extended time outdoors and stamina to teach extended periods of time
- Able to lift 50 pounds, sit, stand, walk, reach, and climb
