What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiovascular Tech - Cardiology position at Northwest Health Porter?
Performs electrocardiograms according to established policies and procedures. Performs stress testing, EKGs, Holter and event monitors on inpatients and outpatients. Provides data for diagnosis of heart ailments. Edits and forwards final test results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited EKG program. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. At least 2 years of previous experience.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A Graduate of an accredited High School or GED Program. [Diploma Required]
Certifications:
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.
Preferred:
Demonstrated completion of an accredited program in cardiac technology [Technical Certificate Required] Or equivalent medical technical experience.
Certified Cardiovascular Technologist.
6 Months of Clinical setting.
