Responsibilities
The Nursing Operations Coordinator is the first point of contact by phone and/or in person for the office of nursing administration. The Operations Coordinator contributes to the proficient and efficient operations of the nursing administration department by providing administrative and clerical support functions in an organized and effective manner. The Operations Coordinator operates under the direction of the nursing administrative leaders of the departments or their designee. The Operations Coordinator functions in a multi-skilled environment which requires working and communicating with staff, nursing management, and other departments and agencies. The Operations Coordinator utilizes multiple system approved computer applications to support secretarial needs of the department, prepare nursing and PCA work schedules, complete time and attendance and assure accuracy of payroll. Responsible for coordinating the staffing of multiple nursing units, the department coordinator identifies staffing needs, vacancies and alternative ways of filling vacancies.
Qualifications
- One year in a healthcare setting
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year in secretarial or administrative support role and/or experience with scheduling, time and attendance and payroll.
- Associate Degree
