Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Daily check for work orders for emergencies and make repairs as needed.
- Continually monitor the appearance of buildings and grounds making a note of necessary repairs.
- General maintenance to include Painting, mowing, waxing, and buffing floors.
- Participating in maintenance projects as designated by supervisor.
- Cleaning buildings may include, sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, waxing floors, and general custodial care.
- Keeping grounds free of litter and natural debris. This may include hauling, raking, burning, and mowing.
- Assist program directors when necessary and approved by immediate supervisor
- Assist or supervise other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Have some knowledge of maintenance and be able to operate lawn equipment.
- Must have a current driver’s license and be approved to drive SA vehicles.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
The Salvation Army, as a religious organization, is exempt from participation in federal and state unemployment insurance programs.
