What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at NOV Inc.?
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform receiving inspection of equipment/parts.
- Perform inspection of equipment/parts in-house and at supplier facilities when applicable.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
- Review inspection records received from suppliers for compliance.
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment; perform or arrange for calibration of equipment; and maintain equipment calibration records.
- Prepare and coordinate Nonconformance Reports (NCR).
- Summarize inspection results and equipment/supplier quality performance.
- Strive for continuous improvement in facility safety and quality.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving Inspection
- Final Hardness Inspection (after Heat Treating, Warehouse)
- Final Count Inspection (Warehouse)
- Equipment Calibration Recall
- Corrective/Preventative Actions
- Record Keeping/Documentation
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- 2 years of experience with precision-measuring equipment is preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
