This position supports the Program Manager for the C-17 program with planning, organizing, and controlling the program. This role requires efficient management of personnel and resources to achieve the successful actualization of program goals and objectives.

Collaborate with the Program Manager in supervising all program activities and those in a wide variety of functional areas such a curriculum development, maintenance, TSSC, marketing, business development, marketing, logistics, operations, human resources, contracts/subcontract management, and more.

Ensure program activities align with the PWS objectives, initiatives, and Customer goals.

Manage the program’s adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

Effectively convey information up, down, and across to ensure cohesive program communication structure.

Oversee daily operations, managing the program’s recruitment and selection process, supervising staff, and maintain quality control programs.

Interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, instructors, contracting officer, and other support personnel and stakeholders.

Create financial plans for the Program.

Respond to data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures.

Analyze and resolve complex issues utilizing Project Management tools.

Apply change, risk and resource management utilizing various tools.

Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management across multiple locations.

Complete reports that detail operational efficiencies, identify inefficiencies with mitigation plans, and assist with program improvement strategics for short and long term milestones.

Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in information systems, engineering, aerospace management or a related field. 6-12 years of relevant experience overseeing large, complex DoD operation and sustainment programs. A Masters degree may be substituted for up to four years of experience. Project management experience on medium to large projects is preferred. Level III Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Program Manager or Program/Project Management Professional (PgMP / PMP) is preferred. Knowledge of the training systems market and experience management the development, deployment, and operation of training solutions.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position is a direct manager role and provides leadership oversight.
Work Environment, Programs, and Tools
This position operates in an office environment and requires individuals to walk, stand, sit, use hands/fingers to type, talk, listen and look.
Required knowledge of the following tools, equipment, and programs includes: laptop, phone, Microsoft Office suite - specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position will be located at Altus AFB, OK and will require adherence to core business hours. This position is a full-time salaried role, expected to work no less than 80 hours per payroll period. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of regular business hours of operations when needed to support program needs.
Travel
Must be able and willing to travel. Travel to C-17TS sites and for government meetings may be required. Estimated about 15%.
Security Clearance
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
